Databases
Databases are a central part of the ChessScanner web application. They allow you to store, organize, and manage your chess games. Each database can contain a variety of games that you can access and analyze at any time.
Currently, only one database can be created per account. However, this database can contain any number of games.
Create a Database
If no database has been created yet, you can do so on the ChessScanner Dashboard ↗. To create a new database, you only need to provide a name for the database. You can change this name at any time later.
Change Name or Description
Using the button with the pencil icon next to the database name, you can change the name and description of your database.
Manage Games
In the database overview, you can view all games stored in your database. You can use the search bar to search for specific games. Each game can be selected and edited individually. Using the button with the eye icon, you can open the game in the viewer to analyze or edit it. If you only want to edit the player data, you can do so using the button with the pencil icon.
Delete Database
If you no longer need a database, you can delete it. Please note that this will permanently remove all games stored in it. To delete a database, go to the database overview and click the delete button.
