Setting Up a Tournament

Before creating a tournament, an event must be created. This serves as a parent structure for potentially multiple tournaments.

Example:

  • LJEM 2025 - Event
    • LJEM U10 - Tournament
    • LJEM U12 - Tournament
    • LJEM U14 - Tournament

Creating an Event

To create an event, a name and a time period are required. Once at least one tournament with visibility Public has been created, the event will be presented with its name on the homepage. The time period is displayed on the tournament page. Both the name and the time period can be adjusted later.

At the event level and tournament level, a description text and multiple links can be added. These can be used, for example, to include the tournament announcement and registration links.

Create New Tournament

To create a tournament, a name, a time period, and the number of rounds are required. When using Swiss-Chess, it is recommended to upload the SWT file of the tournament to also directly import the participants and tournament settings.

However, all data can also be adjusted later.
